Ms. Pelosi is a Speech Language Pathologist from Melbourne, Australia. She completed her Masters of Speech Pathology from the University of Melbourne in 2017 and is new to Vietnam in 2018.
In Australia, Ms. Pelosi has worked with children and adults in hospitals, schools and private settings with speech, language, voice, fluency, swallowing and cognitive communication skills. She has worked with children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome and has also spent some time volunteering for Worldwide Orphans in Ho Chi Minh, delivering training and education about speech, language, communication and social skills strategies for medical staff and teachers of children at special needs schools.
Ms. Pelosi is passionate about helping individuals reach their full potential by assisting in their communication development. She is able to assess, interpret and provide intervention in line with best evidence based practice for speech and language issues, including cognitive communication, fluency and social skills. She believes in a holistic approach to intervention and is able to collaborate with other health professionals to deliver the best care to her clients.
Ms. Pelosi has a curiosity for foreign culture and food, having lived in Italy for six months and travelled to various countries around the world by herself. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new parts of town, keeping active, attempting to play da cau and reading.
