Ms. McEachern completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University May 2017. She did her internship  and residence at The International Center for cognitive Development (ICCD)  here in Vietnam.  Ms. McEachern professional  experiences with ICCD and personally living and working in Vietnam for several years  has given her a deep  understanding of the issues and challenges faced by individuals and couples living and working in Vietnam.

Ms. McEachern grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada, and in 2010 she earned a Bachelor of Arts majoring in International Development Studies from Saint Mary's University. Ms. McEachern has three years of experience working for not-for-profit agencies in the field of mental health. Ms. McEachern has worked in psychological assessment, and was trained to teach cognitive behavioural skills to the parents of children with behaviour and anxiety concerns. Ms. McEachern also supported individuals with intellectual disabilities, and has been trained in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention. 

In her free time, Ms. McEachern enjoys reading, yoga, lifting weights and struggling to learn Vietnamese. She has been living in Ho Chi Minh City with her domestic partner since 2014.
